Journal Entry 7, Day 6
Tribal council is over... and it went exactly as planned! Yaaaaay! The night ended with Brandon leaving the game so I was able to achieve exactly what I wanted. We completely flipped that vote. Can you believe it? I love it!
So now that the vote went through successfully it is clear that I have chosen the right people to work with. Right now I believe that I have strong connections with people who will be loyal to me in this game. Things may change in the future but for now I can rest assured that, at least to some degree, people are telling me the truth.
I fully expected the 6 votes on Brandon from Trevor, Drew, Arun, Stephanie, Bailey, and myself. I did not, however, think that Robby Rob would vote with us. I did attempt to sway him at the end of the night before I went to sleep. I spoke with him for a short period of time and laid it out for him very clearly. I made it clear to Robby Rob that Brandon had been spreading the rumor that Arun, him, and myself were all in an alliance. I also informed him that Brandon, Sam, and Gray had an alliance going. Therefore, based on the evidence, it was clear that Brandon was not working in his best interests. However, Robby Rob was still uncertain of his vote by the end of the conversation and so I decided not to depend on his vote. It's fantastic that he did end up voting with us! I'm glad because this way there will be more tribe unity. I worry, however, that he will be as apprehensive about future votes as he was in this one. Technically it is a good move on his part to analyze the situation and examine his options. But from my point of view, I want to limit that as much as possible. Everyone must listen to me and only me! Mwuahahaha! Okay just kidding ... maybe.
Brandon left the game pretty peacefully which was nice. RIP Brandon </3 You were a strong force in this game and you undoubtedly would have dominated had you made it to any form of tribe swap or merge. Sam and Gray didn't react at all publicly regarding the elimination. I'm curious to know how they really feel; I'm certain that they are fuming. Sam is acting pretty civil right now but is it an act?
Before the second immunity challenge began we received an offer to bid on the opportunity to switch to the other tribe. Of course I want to switch tribes... NOT. I'm in a fantastic position over here so I'm not ready to give that up just yet. The result? Gray ran away like a little girl to the girls tribe. How appropriate. He was out next anyways so good move (maybe?) on his part. I wonder if Sam and him decided that they would be taking turns switching tribes. That's what I would assume considering Sam didn't bid for the Shaman's wand either. Regardless, I am hoping that they are voted out promptly. If not, there could be trouble brewing in the future as the women gain in numbers. We HAVE to win this next challenge otherwise it could put us - and more importantly, me - in grave danger.
Speaking of the next challenge, it has already began! First off, I'd like to thank the production team for such a fun challenge! I'm having a blast collecting these images and I think this is a great way to build more tribe unity! I feel like my tribe is off to a great start. We have gotten many of the required images and are on track to get even more soon. I really hope the girls aren't doing well. I am a bit worried that we could lose by a small margin so it is crucial that we get as many of the scavenger items as possible. We gotta KILL this challenge. We have to. I know we can! It's all about team work, communication, and maybe a little luck. Nervous and excited to see the end result. I'll keep you posted on the results in a future post!
