I have chosen "Yanomami" As the new tribe name.
I took this from the "Day 20" Announcement and thought it was fitting and here is why!
The original post said:
"Yanomami culture can be described as being permeated with violence. The Yanomami people have a history of acting violently not only towards other tribes, but towards one another, and is one of the leading causes of Yanomami death."
Eventually this tribe will have one member, so it makes sense to pay tribute to the Yanomami. There are many different alliances, everyone is playing each other. We are all on our own, however we need each other at this point too. Also, they were one of the original natives of Venezuel!!
The Yanomami are a tribe that are known for their long-lasting tug of war contests - Hence why I included the rope. Also its a good symbol for this game. We are now all playing tug of war with each other. Everyone seems to be pulling in different directions.
I have chosen an "Earth" feather. Red, Black, Brown, White to represent the land, as the Yanomami use the land a lot:
"In this largely communal system, the entire village lives under a common roof called the shabono. Shabonos have a characteristic oval shape, with open grounds in the center. Shabonos are built from raw materials from the surrounding jungles, such as leaves, vines, plums and tree trunks."
I have also chosen the plum to represent our tribe as well since they use it in their building.
And I chose to represent that through ONE plum since this is the "Final" tribe, we have all come into one.
A plum is also a person who is a symbol of peace.
There are the Bloods, who are red, and the Crips, who are blue, and then there are the Plums, who are purple (a combination of the two, if you will). The person who wins Survivor will need to be a "Plum"
The Tribe name is represented in white above, with a ~ mark representing each person in the merge.
The aspects I have chosen for the new Tribe's Coat Of Arms are all represented within the game we are currently playing. Each piece has a purpose and importance.
